Support during turbulent times
Dear Concordians,
In recent weeks, a number of national and international events have shaken us both as a local and global community. From natural disasters and climate change, to political upheavals, community mourning and economic unrest, these events touch our lives and can leave us feeling unsettled and anxious.
As we begin another fall term and continue to negotiate a time of uncertainty on many fronts, we want to remind you that Concordia is a community first and foremost, and as a community, support is close at hand.
If you are a student, there are many resources to support you, including 24/7 tele-counselling. Staff and faculty members covered by the Concordia Health Plan have access to counselling resources year-round through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Additional support for members of the Concordia community is available through the Otsenhákta Centre, the Black Perspectives Office, the Equity Office, the International Students Office as well as other organizations listed here. Do not hesitate to reach out to these at any time.
Recognizing the fluidity of the times we are in, Concordia will continue developing the support services offered to our community, as well as build and promote partnerships to best serve the needs of our members.
Wishing you and yours continued health,
Nadia Hardy Interim Deputy Provost |
Carolina Willsher Associate Vice-President, Human Resources |
