Building overview

The Sisters of Charity of Montreal, also known as the Grey Nuns, have played an important part in the city’s history. Their former Mother House, built in 1871, was acquired by Concordia in 2007, serving a new purpose while preserving its outstanding heritage.

Today, the five-floor Grey Nuns Building houses approximately 600 undergraduate students and offers a beautiful library reading room, an early-childhood observation nursery and a kitchen serving both campuses.
