Scholarships

A variety of scholarships and awards are available for our undergraduate students. Below is a listing of a handful of these but there are many more that you could be eligible for.  For a complete listing, please visit the awards search section of the Student Centre office website.

In-course scholarships

Four In-Course scholarships are available to eligible students in the Department of Religions and Cultures.  Students must have a high assessment GPA to be eligible for these scholarships.

  • The Norma Joseph Scholarship (full-time or part-time students). Amount $600.
  • Professor Mervin Butovsky Memorial Award (full-time students only). Alternates between Judaic studies and English Literature. Amount $1,000
  • Rev. John C.T. Johnson Memorial Scholarship (full-time or part-time students). Alternates between BA Religion and BA Theological Studies. Amount $325.
  • Max and Jessie Kaufman Memorial Scholarship in Judaic studies (full-time students). Open to students in the Major or Minor in Judaic studies. Amount $1,000.

Institute for Canadian Jewish Studies

The Institute for Canadian Jewish Studies has many fellowships and awards available for graduate students.
