My art reveals hope in a Landscape of Hate
Hate, violence and discrimination are propagated widely on the internet. That’s why I co-founded Project SOMEONE, an interactive web portal that fights bigotry with empathy. My musical and multimedia projects – Landscape of Hate and Landscape of Hope – magnify public voices in building artistic avenues for civil dialogue.
My name is Vivek Venkatesh, and I’m the UNESCO co-Chair in Prevention of Radicalization and Violent Extremism, and Professor of Inclusive Practices in Visual Arts in Concordia's Department of Art Education.
