AV equipment loans - Faculty of Fine Arts

Please note that all equipment is prioritized to support curriculum needs and is available from all three Service Centres. Please select one of the three options below for location, equipment, and eligibility information.


Overview

A selection of equipment for loan including laptops, cameras, recording devices, small P/A systems and projectors (data projectors for events on campus only) are available from the CDA Service Centre in the EV building. A general collection exists for all Fine Arts departments, as well as specific collections by program area.

Access to the general collection is free, but fees may apply to specific program collections.

Fall and Winter semesters
9:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. - Monday to Thursday
9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. - Friday
1:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. - Saturday

Summer semester
9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. - Monday to Thursday

Who can use it?

Students and faculty of Contemporary Dance, Theatre, and Music departments.

How much does it cost?

There is no cost associated with this service.

8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. - Friday

Summer semester
The MB Service Centre is closed but AV equipment is transferred to the EV 5.770 Service Centre for the summer months and available to Contemporary Dance, Theatre, and Music departments.

Overview

Portable AV presentation carts, overhead projectors, and a small collection of other equipment is available from two CDA self-Service Centres in the VA - one for faculty and one for students. Note that the equipment is to be used in the VA building only.

Who can use it?

AV presentation carts are reserved for faculty members. Projectors are available to students and faculty.

How much does it cost?

Some fees may apply for specific department collections.

How to get it

  • Bookings are made by phone at (514) 848-2424 ext. 3438 or in person at the EV Service Centre, EV 5.770.   AV carts and sundry items are housed at the self-serve depot VA 019 for faculty.  Similarly overhead projectors and other equipment is available to students from VA 021-1.
