Course registration

Course registration is an online system allowing undergraduate, graduate, Continuing Education, and Grad Pro Skills students to add, drop, swap, and wait list classes. Students may also use this system to search the course catalogue and schedule of classes. For more information about this system, see our SIS Information page.

How to get it

Student registration is accessible within the Student Centre or the My CU Account page of the Student Hub.

FAQ

To search for a course, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page to search for courses in your Student Centre
  2. Select ’class search’ and click ’search’
  3. Enter the information according to your preferences

 To add a course to your shopping cart, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page to add classes in your Student Centre
  2. Choose the term for which you wish to add a course, and click ‘Continue’
  3. Select ‘class search’ and click ‘search’
  4. Enter the information according to your preferences
  5. Click ‘select class’ next to the course and section of your choice
  6. Choose any associated labs and tutorials if applicable and click ‘next’
  7. If a course is listed as full, you may check “Wait list if class is full” to be automatically enrolled in the course should space become available.
  8. Click ‘next’
  9. Repeat the process until you have added all of your desired courses.

To enroll in a course, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page to add classes in your Student Centre
  2. Add your desired courses to your shopping cart
  3. Delete any courses for which you do not wish to register from your shopping cart
  4. Click ‘Finish Enrolling’

To drop a course, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the page to add/drop courses in your Student Centre
  2. Select the ‘Drop’ tab
  3. Choose the term for which you wish to drop a course, and click ‘Continue’
  4. Select the course(s) you wish to drop and click ‘Drop selected courses’
  5. Review your choice and click ‘Finish dropping’ to finalize the process.

The swap feature allows you to drop one course and replace it with another. To swap a course:

  1. Go to the page to add courses in your Student Centre.
  2. Select the ‘swap’ tab
  3. Choose the term for which you wish to swap a course, and click ‘Continue’
  4. Choose which course you wish to swap
  5. To choose which class you wish to replace it with, select ‘class search’ and click ‘search’
  6.  Enter the information according to your preferences
  7. Click 'select class' next to the course and section of your choice
  8. Choose any associated labs and tutorials if applicable and click ‘next’
  9. Click ‘Finish Swapping’
  10. Repeat the process until you have added all of your desired courses.

To view your advisor's contact information, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Student Centre
  2. From the “Advisor” section on the lower right side of the the main page, click on “Details”
  3. The contact information of your academic advisor should be displayed on the screen
