Contributions in the Field of Canadian Jewish History
Norman Ravvin has two new publications in the study of Canadian Jewish history and contributing to its literature. Both are in University of Toronto Press collections:
His essay "Pictures of New Canadians: An Immigrant Story for our Time" is in David S. Koffman's edited volume, No Better Home? Jews, Canada, and the Sense of Belonging.
A short story, reprinted from his early collection, Sex, Skyscrapers, and Standard Yiddish, is included in Ruth Panofsky's The New Spice Box: Contemporary Jewish Writing. It's called "Glendale, North of Alhambra, East of Burbank."
