The Loyola College for Diversity and Sustainability, in collaboration with the Dawson College Peace Centre, is pleased to invite you to two panels comprised of faculty members and researchers from Concordia University and Dawson College, which will explore the intersections of the environment, war and peace conceptual triangle.

The panel discussions

The first discussion, titled “The role of climate change in the emergence of local, national and global peace and conflict,”  features Orenda Boucher, Anna-Liisa Aunio and Peter Stoett. 

The second panel discussion on “The role of institutions in peacebuilding and environmental sustainability in the 21st century” features Chris Adam, Selma Hamdani, Marie Lamensch and David Secko.

The organizers

The Loyola College for Diversity and Sustainability opened in 2002 to provide a coherent program of interdisciplinary courses on the Loyola Campus on a central issue of our time, specifically the challenges and opportunities of diversity. The Loyola Sustainability Research Centre is based at the Loyola College for Diversity and Sustainability.

The Dawson College Peace Centre understands peace as a lifelong individual and collective project. Their mission is to achieve peace and nonviolence through education and action.
