Undergraduate awards

Each year the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry recognises students with outstanding academic achievements.

Taha-Al-Tekreeti-Year-1-Chemistry-Award Taha Al-Tekreeti received the Year 1 Chemistry Award
Cassandra-Roussel-Year-2.5-Co-op Cassandra Roussel received the Year 2.5 Co-op Award and CSC Silver Medal Award in Chemistry
Taylor Jade Layne received the Year 1.5 Co-op Award
Mathieu Cote received the Year 3 Biochemistry Award and the SCI-CIC Graduating Student Merit Award in Biochemistry
Junye-Chen-Year-2-Chemistry-Award Junye Chen received the Year 2 Chemistry Award
Gianluca Fuoco received the Lenoir Book Prize

2021-2022 awards

The awardees for the 2021-2022 academic year are:
  • Gianluca Fuoco: Lenoir Book Prize
  • Renata Sabini: CSC Silver Medal Award in Biochemistry
  • Cassandra Roussel: CSC Silver Medal Award in Chemistry
  • Mathieu Cote: SCI-CIC Graduating Student Merit Award in Biochemistry
  • Sabine Plummer: SCI-CIC Graduating Student Merit Award in Chemistry
  • Hoang Nhi Nguyen:  Marcus Lawrence Award
  • Sascha Azouz:  Michael Glazerman Award
Awards are also presented to outstanding students in a given academic year. This year’s award holders are:

Most awards for outstanding achievements in a given academic year are determined by a departmental committee based on merit. You are included automatically if you are a Chemistry and Biochemistry student. However, there are a number of awards that you can apply for.
