An evaluation committee, chaired by Concordia Provost Anne Whitelaw, has been established to evaluate the performance of Annie Gérin in her role as Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts, as Gérin seeks a second term.

Members of the university community are invited to make brief written submissions to the committee to assist it in its work, using the evaluation themes and criteria to guide the committee’s work: Evaluation themes and criteria.

All comments must be signed or come from an identifiable email address. All comments submitted to the committee will be treated in the strictest confidence. Only the secretary and chair of the committee will be privy to the identity of the person submitting the comment.

Comments will be subject to the Protocol for Receiving and Transmitting Comments Submitted to Evaluation Committees to Accompany Policy BD-8 and Policy BD-17.

While the committee may wish to discuss the content of the submissions with Gérin, the submissions themselves will not be communicated to Gérin or to anyone beyond the committee.

The evaluation process is governed by the Policy on Employment and Remuneration of the Academic Deans and the University Librarian (BD-17) concerning the evaluation of academic deans.

Submissions should be sent to Karan Singh, Associate Secretary-General and Secretary of the Committee, at karan.singh@concordia.ca no later than Monday, April 15, 2024.
