|

As part of Transports Québec’s Turcot Project, sections of the Turcot interchange will be closed to traffic from Thursday, November 8, to Tuesday, November 13. The interchange, located southwest of downtown, links highways 15, 20 and 720 and provides access to the Champlain Bridge via the Décarie South Expressway.

Traffic is expected to be adversely affected during the closure period.

The scheduled road closures are as follows:

  • Closure of highway 20 westbound: Thursday evening to Tuesday morning
  • Closure of highway 20 eastbound: Friday evening to Tuesday morning
  • Closure of highway 15 northbound: Friday evening to Monday morning

During this period, all classes, labs and other instructional activities will take place as usual, offices will be open and services will be available.

If you usually use the interchange to commute to work or class, please plan ahead to make sure you can get where you need to be on time. If you anticipate issues associated with this closure, please speak with your manager.

Free transit passes

To make your trip to Concordia easier during this period, Transports Québec is issuing free transit passes for university staff and faculty who use the Turcot interchange to get to work.

Each pass will include two trips for the train, metro and bus networks of the Montreal metropolitan region. They will be valid on Friday, November 9 and Monday, November 12 only.

Staff and faculty are entitled to two tickets each upon presentation of a valid Concordia employee I.D. card.
