In the wake of several phishing scams at Concordia, Instructional and Information Technology Serivces (IITS) reminds students, faculty and staff to delete any suspicious emails immediately.

Phishers send out mass emails to targeted recipients with the hope that at least a few will reply with their personal information. Unfortunately, the university is often targeted due to its large number of account holders.

Concordia will never ask for your personal information by phone, email or URL unless it is in response to a support request you have initiated. Likewise, Concordia will never request your password, nor should businesses, banks and other institutions.
