JMSB was ranked 42nd internationally, according to the 2011-12 biennial survey, Beyond Grey Pinstripes, published by the Aspen Institute.

A total of 149 business schools, from 22 countries, took part in the Beyond Grey Pinstripes. The survey is the only international ranking to examine how graduate programs prepare students for the environmental, social and ethical complexities of modern business.

“Social responsibility and sustainability have become synonymous with JMSB — a fact recognized by this latest Beyond Grey Pinstripes ranking,” says Alan Hochstein, interim dean of the John Molson School of Business.

“Our Sustainable Business Conference, our MBA Community Service Initiative, our International Community Outreach Program are all initiatives that sustain our school’s mission to create globally responsible citizens,” Hochstein continues.

The Stanford Graduate School of Business earned top place in this Beyond Grey Pinstripes ranking. The only other Canadian schools included in the survey were York University’s Schulich School of Business, the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business and the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business.
