“Concordia owes a deep debt of gratitude to Linda Healey, who joined the university in 1983,  and has led the Registrar team for the last 10  years. It is a demanding position and Linda has done an outstanding job,” says Acting Vice-President Services, Roger Côté. “We are very lucky to have someone like Laura Stanbra who has the breadth of experience, knowledge of the university and talent to step into the position.”

The Registrar oversees the offering of effective and responsive service to students and the academic community in compliance with university academic policies. She also develops policies and procedures regarding access and transmission of student records, transcripts, government reporting, as well as those related to examinations, registration and scheduling. The Registrar is ultimately responsible for the integrity of all student academic records and transcripts, and sanctions them as the university authority.

Laura Stanbra has been at Concordia since 1985 and has taken on various responsibilities including Acting Director, Annual Giving Campaign, Director, Alumni Relations & Development, Director, Financial Aid & Awards Office and most recently Managing Director, Student Services and has collaborated closely with the Office of the Registrar. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science, and a Master of Arts, Public Policy & Public Administration, both from Concordia.

“Laura combines a wide-ranging knowledge of the university with a collegial, enthusiastic and highly professional approach to her responsibilities,” adds Côté. “She knows our student population and  has shown a strong commitment to effective and responsive service to them. I know that she will be a dedicated Registrar, serving the interests of the students and the university community at large.”
