This marks the fifth time since 2006 that JMSB has won at Happening Marketing, this year held at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM). The event, which gathered over 500 students from across Canada, is considered the largest interuniversity marketing competition in the country.

The JMSB team also won the SECOR competition. This was the first time the event was open to students from all four Montreal business schools (HEC at the Université de Montréal, Desautels at McGill University, the School of Management at UQÀM, and JMSB at Concordia).

Previously the competition, held at the Université de Montréal, was open only to HEC Montréal students.
