For more than three decades the Journal has dedicated its final June issue to graduating students who have distinguished themselves.

In Concordia’s early years, each grad’s name was published in the Thursday Report (the Journal’s predecessor). However, with more than 5,000 students earning their degrees this year, that is no longer possible.

Now, the paper profiles students who have done particularly well academically and brought a little bit more to their time at Concordia. Perhaps they spearheaded a special project, or excelled beyond expectations, or juggled a range of other responsibilities, in short students who stood out.

Any student, from any Faculty, whose degree (graduate or undergraduate) was earned during this academic year (November 2010 or June 2011 convocations) is eligible to be among the dozen or so students profiled in the final issue of the academic year.

Anyone who wishes to nominate a student should send a short description about what makes this individual special. Clearly indicate “Great Grad” in the subject line and address emails to Karen Herland, publications editor, at karen.herland@concordia.ca. Please note that a nomination does not assure a place in this issue and deadline to submit candidates is April 1.
