Another Podium Finish for JMSB at 2012 Financial Open

Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business participated in the 2012 Financial Open Case Competition, which was held at Concordia from February 3 to 5, 2012.

Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business participated in the 2012 Financial Open Case Competition, which was held at Concordia from February 3 to 5. JMSB has a history of success in this competition and this year’s delegation ensured that the trend continue as they placed second overall.

The final overall standings were:

  1. HEC Montréal
  2. John Molson School of Business, Concordia University
  3. Université Laval

Silver

Market Finance Kevin Chan, Mathieu Milliand and Haig Tachejian
Corporate Finance Samer Balaghi, Michel Berger and Samuel Nasso
Managerial Accounting Danièle Brissette-Lalonde, Julia D’Alesio-Worth and Ana Maria Movila

Bronze

Tax Ranjit Girn, Eric McDonald and Robert Leone
Professionalism Entire delegation
Also contributing to the overall silver finish were the teams in:

The John Molson Competition Committee would like to extend its thanks to the coaches who brought out the absolute best in their teams once again. The finance coaches were Reena Atanasiadis, Amr Ezzat and Thomas Horvath. The Accounting coaches were Gail Fayerman, Basel Arafe, Patrick Gagnon, Tara Ramsaran and Martina Petrova.

The John Molson Competition Committee would also like to extend a special thanks to Head Coach and Advisor to the Competition Program, Mark Haber, for his commitment and his contribution to the program.
