Congratulations to the 2012 Cinema award laureates

Student filmmakers and scholars at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema were honoured at the school's 2012 awards ceremony, which took place at the J.A. DeSève Cinema on April 26, 2012. The annual awards ceremony recognizes excellence in student film animation and production, and academic achievements in film studies.

One of the big winners of the night was Alexandra Bégin, who won the Mel Hoppenheim Award for Outstanding Overall Achievement in Film Production for her film Hell Hath No Fury. See a complete list of the 2012 Cinema award laureates.

Many of the winners' films will be featured at a film festival, taking place at the NFB's CinéRobothèque from May 10 to 12.
