Associate Professor Alessandra Renzi writes “Montreal: Squeezing out low-income residents”


Alessandra Renzi, Associate Professor, Communication Studies co-authored an article in The Conversation titled, “Universities can squeeze out low-income residents in cities like Montréal.” The article discusses how the Université de Montréal's new campus is the latest example of universities accelerating gentrification in neighbourhoods and offers examples of how some universities are proactively engaging with their communities, citing Concordia's Office of Community Engagement among others.
