April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) and this year's theme is 'Building Connected Communities'. The mission of SAAM is to increase public understanding of sexual assault and educate communities on how to prevent it.

Everyone has a role to play in ending sexual assault, harassment, and abuse. Here are some ways that you can take action in April and beyond:

  1. Drop by our table on the Hall Mezzanine on April 2nd or 3rd to learn more about Sexual Assault Awareness Month and pick up your teal ribbon pin!
  2. Learn more about how you can build more connected communities and help to prevent sexual violence on the National Sexual Violence Resource Centre's website (click the 'Learn' tab)
  3. Share resources with your friends and family in person or on social media to raise awareness
  4. Participate in the #30DaysOfSAAM Instagram challenge
  5. Listen to and believe survivors
