About Andrew Lutfy

Andrew Lutfy’s story of success is quite inspiring. His retail career with Groupe Dynamite started at the young age of 18, as a stock boy. With time he took an active management role in the business which eventually led him to becoming shareholder and sole owner in 2002. Even then, he had a vision: Assume ownership and build two killer brands. Today, as owner and CEO of Dynamite and Garage brands, he has made his dream a reality and is the force behind the leading Canadian retailer of young women’s fashion apparel.

As chairman of the board of Carbonleo, Andrew sets the company’s strategic direction; he is responsible for leading the negotiations of major contracts as well as the management of the company assets. His love and interest in construction is reflected in both the development of the Four Seasons hotel, private residences and Royalmount, being the largest LEED Gold project in Canada, and the largest carbon neutral in all the Americas.

Along with several other accolades, Andrew was presented with the Ernest & Young Entrepreneur of the year award in 2007. The award honours entrepreneurs who have shown outstanding skills and who have excelled in a wide spectrum of activities such as business expansion, risk taking, innovation and personal commitment towards both their company and community.
