Concordia's Contemporary Dance Department is happy to announce its upcoming second-year choreography production, Shaping Currents, being held on April 5th and 6th at 7 pm in the beautiful space of the EV Black Box.

Shaping Currents encompasses multiple worlds generated through unique approaches to shaping movement, time, and space. These performances will showcase a talented cohort delving into everything from subconscious desires to metaphysical questions, examining the implicit meanings in day-to-day interactions and cultivating wisdom from living archives and ancestral roots. Through investigations of choreography and dramaturgy, they are Interrogating the extent of agency at the intersection of personal and political spheres and exploring the alchemy to be found in transmuting physical states.

On April 5th and 6th we invite you to join us and experience the currents shaped by emerging dance makers: Emine Adilak, Lucie Beylard, Malika Bouchard-Medawar, Kai Corrigan, Ashlee Gemberling, Liam Gover, Zachary Lagha, Santiago Lopez Alzate, Vailea Parris, Mia Pereira, Solen Rios, Jackson Thompson, Nicholas White & Michelle Shuman.

Dramaturgy by instructor Erin Flynn and the students of Choreography I
