In this lecture of the Law Meets Engineering series, guest speaker Jean-Marc Arbaud, President and Chief Executive Officer of CDPQ Infra will discuss the REM Project: Inception and Execution.

Senior engineering students in the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science are invited to attend, as well as lawyers, and the general public.

Advance registration is mandatory for this lecture.

Light refreshments will be served.

To participating lawyers: Verification of the admissibility of this lecture (for 1.5 hours) has been submitted to the Bar of Quebec.

Law Meets Engineering lecture series

Concordia Jurist-in-Residence Morton Minc is launching a series of eight law-related lectures given by lawyers geared towards undergraduate engineering students. These lectures will tackle topics that will be very useful in the professional life of future engineers.

Biography

Jean-Marc Arbaud has been President and Chief Executive Officer of CDPQ Infra since January 2021. In this role, he is responsible for the team as well as for developing and overseeing infrastructure projects, most notably the creation of the Réseau express métropolitain (REM). He is also Director of CDPQ Infra’s Board of Directors. Formerly, he was Deputy Managing Director, then Managing Director, of the subsidiary since its creation in July 2015. Mr. Arbaud has over 30 years of experience developing, planning, financing, executing and operating public and industrial infrastructure projects on all continents. He holds an engineering degree from ENSIAA (France) and a specialization in applied mathematics and computer science from ISAA.
