This panel discussion honors the living legacies of Black women who organised at the intersections of the feminist and anti-racist movements in Montreal during the 1980s and 1990s.

The panel will bring together some of the Black women who were active in groups and organisations such as the Coloured Women’s Club, Congress of Black Women of Canada, and Point de ralliement des femmes d’origine haïtienne de Montréal.

Archival images will be displayed thanks to archivist, Samia Dumais, who specialises in Black Canadian History in the second half of the 20th century.
