UPDATE: As of March 2, 2017 10:07 a.m., Concordia has learned from the media that the Service de Police de Montréal (SPVM) has arrested an individual in connection with yesterday’s bomb threat directed at our community.

“We’re relieved to hear that a suspect is in custody,” says Concordia’s president Alan Shepard.

“We continue to collaborate with the SPVM to ensure the safety of our students, faculty and staff.”

The university has increased security across both campuses.

If you see something suspicious on campus, or you are concerned about your safety, we ask that you contact our Security Department at 514-848-3717.

For students whose classes and exams were affected by the evacuations, or if you have other concerns about completing your coursework or exams, please speak with your professor.

For anyone who feels they need support because of yesterday’s events, we encourage you to call our Counselling and Psychological Services at 514-848-2424, ext. 3555. Faculty and staff can also reach out to our Employee Assistance Program at Homewood Health at 1-800-663-1142.
