Indiana's anti-LGBTQ laws

Last week, Indiana Governor Mike Pence signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which will allow businesses in the state to discriminate against LGBTQ citizens. In response, many people, most notably LGBT activist, George Takei of Star Trek fame, are calling for a boycott against the State of Indiana. Gilbert Emond, associate professor in the Department of Applied Human Sciences, can talk about how such a law can be enacted in 2015 and whether religious freedom can be a cause to discriminate.
