How does news media affect our perception of scientific research and synthetic biology in particular? Taylor Kann, an MA candidate at Concordia in Digital Innovation in Journalism, studying under professor David Secko, is investigating how hype and sensationalism in science journalism may contribute to misinformation about synthetic biology and impact public opinion.
