Former Newsweek reporter and filmmaker Maziar Bahari, BA 93, was captured and tortured during a 118-day detention without charge following the 2009 Iranian election protests. He reveals the story in his best-selling memoir, Then They Came for Me: A Family's Story of Love, Captivity and Survival. The book inspired The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart to direct and produce the feature film Rosewater. A discussion will be moderated by Paul Karwatsky, BA 04, anchor for CTV's News at Noon and News at 6.
