Painting and Drawing Visiting Artist Talk with Adam Miller (with David Molesky)

Adam Miller is a Brooklyn-based history painter. Born in Oregon, after formal training in Italy at the Florence Academy of Art, he spent four years in Europe studying Baroque and Mannerist painting. Miller’s work explores the intersection between mythology, ecology and humanism. Visually inspired by Baroque and Hellenistic narrative painting they take a polytheistic approach to contemporary folklore, questions of progress and the experience of human narrative in the face of technological change and the struggle to find meaning in a world poised between expansion and decay. Miller will be joined by David Molesky, fellow painter and frequent contributor to Juxtapoz magazine. More: http://www.adammillerart.com/
