Winter 2026 – First Year Peer Mentorship Program
Every year, new Concordia students arrive with big questions:
- How do I find help?
- Where do I fit in?
- How does university actually work?
Our First Year Peer Mentorship Program is here to make that transition easier.
Why work with a peer mentor?
Your mentor is a trained upper-year student who understands what it’s like to be new. They can guide you through everything from using campus services to finding community and feeling like you belong.
Through 1:1 mentoring you’ll get:
- Friendly, judgment-free support
- Tips from someone who’s been in your shoes
- Encouragement to ask for help and use campus resources
- A stronger sense of connection and confidence
You'll also:
- Find your way around campus more easily
- Make the best use of campus resources
- Make friends, get involved, and build a community
- Reflect on what you want from your experience at Concordia and set goals to get there
- Feel more confident solving problems
- Find the fun on campus
How to request a mentor
- Meet our mentors, and choose someone who gets your vibe.
- Submit your application to be matched with a Mentor. We'll do our best to accommodate your choice.
Deadline: January 27, 2026
