The launch

Will to Intervene : Canadian Parliamentary Launch Canadian Parliamentary Launch, September 22, 2010.

"I believe deeply that there are things that occur in our world that are so appalling that they cannot be ignored, that there is indeed, ultimately, a moral obligation to engage and that this project will promote and encourage that tendency and trend, as there are things that occur in far distance places that are simply, morally, humanly, unacceptable."

Robert Fowler, Former Canadian Ambassador to the United Nations

Mobilizing the Will to Intervene: Leadership and Action to Prevent Mass Atrocities was launched on September 21, 2009 at the United States Institute of Peace in Washington D.C. and on September 22, 2009 at the National Press Gallery in Ottawa. To keep the report's findings and policy recommendations before the eyes of the Canadian government officials, the W21 Project organized a policy briefing on Parliament Hill on October 1, 2009 in cooperation with the All-Parliamentary Group for the Prevention of Genocide and Other Crimes Against Humanity.
