Project title

Developing and Evaluating a Student Well-Being Dashboard Intervention to Improve Mental Health Literacy and Help-Seeking and Reduce Service Needs Gaps for Vulnerable University Students 

Position description

Our interdisciplinary research team is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to fill a central role in an ongoing, large, longitudinal research project that involves the development and evaluation of a help-seeking intervention for university students. This is a three-year project funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et Culture and Concordia University. The postdoctoral fellow will work on organizational tasks with a project coordinator who manages data collection and documentation. The postdoctoral fellow will work with the PIs and other members of the research team on the development and evaluation of the intervention, data analysis, and knowledge mobilization. The postdoctoral fellow will also have the opportunity to prepare empirical papers across a variety of topics related to their particular expertise and interests. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to mentor graduate and undergraduate students working on the project.

Qualifications

PhD in psychology, education, or closely related field; project management and leadership experience; experience managing large data sets; advanced data analysis skills specifically with respect to modeling change over time (e.g., multilevel, latent growth, mixture models); familiarity with R; empirical report writing; experience or interest in intervention/evaluation research.

Start date, duration and salary

This is a full-time position starting as early as May 2021. We currently have full-time salary funding for a full year ($50,000/year, including benefits) and are currently seeking additional funding to top up salary to full-time levels for both years 2 and 3. The postdoctoral fellow will have the opportunity to submit provincial and federal fellowship applications to support their continued work on the project after the first year.

Location

The postdoctoral fellow will be a primary member of Dr. Erin Barker’s Lifespan Well-Being Laboratory in the Department of Psychology at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The Department of Psychology offers a vibrant training environment for postdoctoral fellows. It currently hosts 30 postdoctoral fellows across multiple research groups. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join and participate in the research events hosted by the Centre for Research in Human Development and the Centre for Clinical Research in Health and the professional development programs offered by GradPro Skills.
