Physical panic buttons can be installed in areas of high volume where many people circulate.
Panic buttons
Panic buttons are life safety devices that can be activated in emergencies when other communication methods are not appropriate. When possible, individuals should always call Security at 514-848-3717 when in danger and able to use a phone.
Panic button requests
Departments or units can request panic buttons for their areas.
An assessment prior to the request should be done by contacting the security manager of your campus.

Installation fees for panic buttons require a budget code and approval.
Please note that fees will vary on the type of panic button deemed necesary for your area.
Panic button types
Wired panic buttons can be deployed in a fixed concealed area that allows a user to activate privately.
Wireless panic buttons can be provided to individuals that are required to work alone in an area that does not have access to other emergency communications.
Alertus Software panic buttons can be installed on desktop computers that are associated with a permanent office location.
