Bright lights on both sides of the border

Concordia welcomes Brian Culp from Indiana University; Stephanie Broos heads to San Francisco State University

Through Fulbright Canada, two academic exchanges have been arranged between Concordia and the United States.

Brian Culp, an associate professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis, was named the Fulbright Visiting Research Chair in the Person and Society at Concordia.

In this position, hosted by the Department of Applied Human Sciences, Culp will be involved with the PERFORM Centre and is encouraged to give lectures, mentor students and promote his research, “Social Justice Promotion in Health and Physical Activity.”

Stefanie Broos, currently pursuing a specialization in Communication Studies at Concordia, was named a Killam Fellow and will be visiting San Francisco State University. There, she will study cinema and theatre, and hopes to network with individuals who share a passion for film and television production.


Fulbright Canada is a joint, bi-national, treaty-based organization created to encourage mutual understanding between Canada and the U.S. through academic and cultural exchange.
