engAGE Student Symposium at Concordia | Call for submissions

Deadline March 9

engAGE is hosting a student symposium on May 1, 2020 . The event has the goal of highlighting student initiatives related to the study of age and aging. This is a great opportunity for students to connect with each other, to practice presenting, and to receive critical feedback on their work. engAGE researchers are encouraged to attend to support the growth of this burgeoning research community and the future of scholarship on the study of age and aging at Concordia.

Organizers invite all interested applicants (any field or level of study) to submit any completed or works in progress. Suggestions for submission include Paper Presentations, Posters, Panels, and Creative Works.

 

Submission Deadline: March 9, 2020

Paper Presentations: Please submit a 250 word abstract and title of your work. Please include author's name, department, level of study (undergraduate, masters, PhD), and supervisor. Oral presentations will be 15 minutes in length followed by a question period.

Panel Submissions: Panels of up to 3 presenters focusing on a common theme are welcome. Please submit a 100 word summary of the panel topic, and 250 word descriptions on the specific work of each panelist. Please include the name, department, level of study (undergraduate, masters, PhD), and supervisor of each panelist.

Posters: Please submit a 250 word abstract and title of the poster. Please include the author’s name, department, level of study (undergraduate, masters, PhD), and supervisor. 

Creative Work: We welcome the submission of creative works. Please provide a 250 word description (and images if necessary). Additionally, please provide the author’s name, department, level of study (undergraduate, masters, PhD), and supervisor
