Apocalyptic Graphic Satire in Cold War Cartooning, 1945-1959," American Quarterly volume 70, no. 2 (June 2018): 235-266. The cover of this issue also features a cartoon from Brandon’s piece (http://muse.jhu.edu/issue/38720) and the American Quarterly asked Brandon to contribute a short online supplement that is meant to spur further discussion as well as provide additional research materials/links. His contribution can be found here: (https://www.americanquarterly.org/beyond/index.html). Brandon has also received a Swann Foundation Fellowship research grant with the Library of Congress. It includes a two-week stay researching the Library's extensive cartoon collections, and a research stipend.
