This year the event is sponsored by AACEI Montreal Section and Industry Companies: Turner & Townsend, Hatch, and Revay! This competition is open to students from Canadian and American (USA) Universities.
In this event, graduate students, from thesis-based and MEng programs related to Construction Engineering and Management (this includes all related areas in building, civil and environmental engineering) across North America will compete by presenting their research in 3 minutes speech and their main practical contributions in one additional minute (4 minutes in total for each contestant) followed by Q&A from the judge panel composed of experts from the industry and academia.
The top three winners will be announced at the end, who will be invited to present an extended version of their work in the AACEI monthly meeting.
