Every Friday in GM 300.22, come Vent over Tea.

Vent Over Tea is a free active listening service that allows you to speak your mind to a compassionate stranger. Conversations are confidential and there are no follow ups or strings attached.

A venting session provides:

  • An intentional or purposeful way of listening and responding to another person that improves mutual understanding
  • Whole and undivided attention free of distractions
  • Suspension of judgement or reaction
  • Includes reflective questions in order for you to gain deeper insight into your situation and come to your own conclusions
  • Empathic regard

Vent Over Tea does not offer counselling, psychotherapy or advice. They provide you with a listening ear and a safe space to vent. Volunteers are trained in active listening and can help you work through difficulties by guiding the conversation and asking reflective questions. There is no need to sign up in advance.
