Concordia's Francofête 2015

  • La Foire du terroir québécois – a celebration of the best Quebec has to offer. More than 25 local producers showcased their products on March 18 and March 19. From chocolates, teas, cheeses to jams, breads, patés and more, this gourmet’s delight had it all.
      

Career Panel: "Building Your Career in French in Quebec"

If you are an international or out-of-province student, you may be interested in staying in Quebec once you graduate. Working in Quebec means you need to have good French-language skills. This Panel allowed students to meet Concordia Alumni who have chosen to learn French in order to increase their chances of securing Full-time employment. Learning French can give you a competitive edge in gaining employment in Quebec.

If you were not able to attend the panel, it will be made available on DVD shortly. You will be able to rent it out at the Career Resource Center in H-440.

Concordia's Francofête 2013

This year, the Department of French studies, in collaboration with Oui Can Help! and the Office of the Vice-Provost, Teaching and Learning, hosted the annual Francofête which lasted a full week and involved various special activities promoting the French language and culture on campus to students, staff and Faculty members:

  • Wednesday, March 20th: "Foire du Terroir" from 11 am to 4 pm in the Atrium of the E.V. building: Quebec local producers showcased traditional foods and beverages in the atrium of the EV building.
  • Friday, March 22nd:In collaboration with the International Students Office (ISO) a Rally was organized for international students wishing to discover Montreal, gather clues all while practicing their French.
