More than 1,400 new trees are coming to Loyola CampusA wave of greenery is about to sweep over Loyola Campus! From now until mid-November, more than 1,400 trees will be planted on university grounds. The project comes after Soverdi, a non-profit organization focused on urban green and forestation strategies, approached Concordia this spring to propose a partnership. “Soverdi presented us with a proposal where they will provide more than $500,000 in materials and services for a large-scale tree planting project on Loyola Campus,” explains Jackie Martin, urban agriculture and biodiversity coordinator in the Office of Sustainability. |

Thursday, October 10 @ 12-1:30 p.m., Online Have you ever found it hard to manage self-care when juggling classes, exams, family, friends, and work? Do you ever experience issues taking care of yourself because self-care was not promoted or discusses in your culture or community? Do you feel misunderstood or guilty when you attempt to set boundaries related to self-care? Whether you are a racialized or non-racialized person, this workshop will allow you to better understand how and why we coined the term self-care. You will also be able to consider different practices, tools, strategies, and even current acts you engage in, that promote self-care. This workshop is especially useful if you grew up in an environment in which pleasing others was valued over considering your own needs and preserving your energy.
