Peer-to-peer reflectionThe bittersweetness of December There’s always something bittersweet about the end of the fall term –the first snowfall, the days getting shorter, going back home for the holidays (or not!). All of these things can bring up a mix of ambivalent emotions. On top of that, there’s the stress of final exams and projects. I never seem to have time to process these feelings until I’m finally done with school. What helps me is reminding myself that it can feel like too much because it is too much to juggle. Even taking a moment to pause, reflect on what’s going on in our lives how these circumstances are making us feel, can make a difference during such a busy time of year to help avoid burnout. With the days getting shorter, I always remind myself to take my vitamin D and make time for the things that I love! Have wonderful holidays and see you in January! Yael |
