What is Writing Assistance?

The Writing Assistance Program, part of the Student Success Centre's Learning Services, is a free service provided to all Concordia students, undergraduate and graduate, who want to improve their writing skills or who need assistance with written assignments in English or in French.

Writing Assistants work with students to help them clarify, develop and present their ideas in a written format that meets the requirements of their specific assignment. Through this process, students become more confident of their ideas and develop strategies that make them better writers.

Graduate Writing Drop-In

Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hall Building, room H-440

Whether you’re looking to discuss your writing with a Writing Assistant, or if you’d just like a structured and supportive environment in which to kickstart your thesis work before each weekend, the Graduate Drop-in for Writing is a great way to fight the isolation that often comes with the work of being a graduate student.
