Mick Kopis has more than a decade of experience in marketing. His experience encompasses marketing strategy, communications, branding, social entrepreneurship, international business, and management.

He is currently the National Marketing Director at MAPEI Canada, a world leading manufacturer of building materials for the construction industry. Previously, he has built and led marketing teams in small and medium-sized businesses across Montreal, predominantly in cleantech, construction, and manufacturing sectors. Aside from his part-time teaching at Concordia University, he was also a judge for the Canadian Marketing Association Awards as well as a mentor for EntrePrism HEC Montréal. He was also the President of several corporate sustainability and talent committees, as well as the Marketing Committee during the completion of his postgraduate degree.

Mick sits on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) in the Quebec Chapter as Executive Vice-President. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Marketing from City University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) from HEC Montréal. He also bears the Chartered Marketer (CM) designation awarded by the Canadian Marketing Association.

Marketing aside, Mick is an avid traveler having visited over 40 countries, a certified sommelier offering private wine tastings and courses, and a seasoned high-altitude mountaineer having summited four of the Seven Summits.
