Professional designations
The John Molson MBA in combination with the CFA charter is a winning combination for a successful career in investment management.
Two professional designations in one MBA degree
Gain a powerful edge
Attain the highest global designation in investment management, while earning an internationally recognized John Molson MBA. Together, these give you a powerful edge in a highly competitive job market.
The CFA designation is widely recognized as the pathway into the investment management industry, as well as key to advancement once you’re there.
A proven track record
Our CFA Level 1 pass rates are consistently double or higher than worldwide rates. In 2019, for example, our students achieved a pass rate of 95 percent on the CFA Level I exam, compared with only 41 percent for the more than 100,000 candidates who wrote the exam worldwide.
Unique in Canada
The John Molson MBA in Investment Management was the first Canadian program to partner with the CFA Institute in 2006, and fully integrate the Program Candidate Body of Knowledge into our MBA curriculum. We continue to be the only MBA in Canada specializing in investment management.
We are the only program that requires students to pass the CFA Level 1 exam in order to graduate, ensuring that you leave Concordia with a both world-class MBA and the toolbox to help you attain a CFA charter.
Program requirements
To earn the CFA designation, students must fulfill all CFA Institute requirements. For more information on these requirements, please consult their website.
