What you'll find

The ceramics area contains gas and electric kilns for both high and low temperature firing, as well as outdoor facilities for raku and sawdust firings. Ceramics students have access to a glaze formulation/application area and a clay mixing area with a full complement of basic materials such as stoneware, porcelain and earthenware. A well-stocked glaze material inventory assures access to an unlimited range of surfaces/finishes, including digital imaging processes. A dedicated technician assists and counsels students with technical problems.

Only students currently enrolled within the department may access these resources. Under exceptional circumstances, access may be given to students in other Faculty of Fine Arts courses for specific projects.
