Game day event and facilities staff positions

We are looking for customer service oriented individuals who are energetic, enthusiastic and want to be part of the Stingers event management team. Experience in playing or coaching sports is an asset.

Available positions:

  • Mascot
  • Ticket Seller
  • Canteen
  • Scoreboard Operator
  • Scorekeeper
  • Building Security/Laundry Room Attendant*
  • Dome Staff
  • Maintenance

All positions are part-time and seasonal

Candidates must be available and willing to work evenings and weekends, primarily Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Applicants must also be available for a mandatory staff meeting on September 1.

Applicants must be bilingual and Concordia students.

Applications for the Fall 2016 semester will be accepted starting August 1st.

* Interviews will be conducted the week of August 15th -19th.

Once selected, candidates will be required to attend one of several orientation/training sessions offered during the period of August 22 – September 2.

These training sessions will take place in the evening and normally are 3 hours in duration.

Position Description:

*      Perform high level of client service; answering phones, client inquiries, providing department-related information.

*      Serve as initial contact resource for Campus Recreation and department inquiries.

*      Conduct program registration and financial transactions. 

*      Issue and supervise equipment rentals.

*      Assist in managing facility access.

*      Assist in preparing for intramural activities.

*      Assist Recreation Coordinators as required.


*      Concordia University student.

*      Previous customer service experience an asset.

*      Computer knowledge, including Microsoft office and web-based programs. 

*      Possess strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

*      Candidates must be organized, have basic knowledge of French, be conscientious, punctual and professional.

*      Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends.

*      Wage: $11.00/hr

Sport Official

Ice Hockey Timekeeper

As part of its Fall 2016 program, Campus Recreation offers several intramural sport leagues and as such, requires individuals to officiate intramural games.

Please note that only selected candidates will be contacted for interview.

  • Must have extensive knowledge of sport rules & regulations and in-depth knowledge and playing experience of desired referee position.
  • Officiating experience is not essential, although a thorough understanding of a particular sport is required. 
  • Preferred consideration will be given to candidates who hold current certification or who have previous officiating certification and/or experience officiating at the adult or senior levels.

Selected applicants may be required to attend an officiating clinic


Approximately 4-8 hours per week 
$12 - $30/hr - dependent upon sport and applicant’s qualifications
