Ensuring our digital content is accessible to all users is an ongoing commitment at Concordia. Over the past few months, we’ve made significant improvements to several AEM components to enhance usability for people using assistive technologies.

Sites in the spotlight
- Careful, the new and improved Food Services website might make you hungry! It’s serving up timely information about where to dine on campus, student meal plans and food sustainability initiatives.
- Hospitality Concordia recently updated its Venues page, showcasing a selection of spaces available on campus to rent for everything from meetings and conferences to film screenings and celebrations. You’ll also find a bevy of resources to help plan your event and ensure it’s one your guests will always remember!
- The recently revamped Liberal Arts College website sports a clean, contemporary layout that shines the spotlight on the College and the Liberal Arts program. From program details to student life to scholarships and awards, and more, discover the best that’s been thought and said in history, philosophy, literature, religion, science, music and art.
- Concordia’s Mental Health page was updated to make it easier for staff and students to find and gain access to essential mental health resources, tools, support and services. From tele-counselling to 24/7 helplines to peer listening, and more, we’re here to help you on your mental health journey.
- Every year the Claudine and Stephen Bronfman Fellowship in Contemporary Art grants a fellowship to graduate students from Concordia and UQAM whose body of work is focused on the visual arts. The Bronfman Fellowship now has an English web presence on concordia.ca; UQAM is hosting the French site.

New beginnings (elsewhere)
The melting snow and start of spring ushers forth transitions and new beginnings of all kinds, and this year, the Web Team is saying farewell to two valued colleagues who are moving onto new horizons.
- JE Sheehy played a key role as a webmaster in several overhaul projects for the Faculty of Arts and Science, the Research subsite and the EMBA website. They also gave helpful advice for incorporating inclusive French for the web.
- Carl Summers, Junior Web Developer, was always ready to assist and contributed to AEM enhancements, accessibility improvements, bug fixes and mobile app updates.
Thank you for all that you’ve contributed to Concordia!
