December 2022 Dear colleague, We have received plenty of good news in the last few weeks, and it is my honour to share it with you. |

ACCREDITATION AND RANKINGS NEWSI am very proud to announce that we are now a full member of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)! This means that our School now has voting rights in the EFMD Global Network Annual General Platforms. But, most importantly full membership status is a requirement for accreditation. By becoming a full member, we are on the right path to becoming an EQUIS accredited institution. Special thanks to the accreditation team members, led by associate dean Alexandra Panaccio, for their efforts in preparing the required documents to obtain this status. The Princeton Review has declared our graduate entrepreneurial studies as Top 40 in the world, moving us up at least 10 spots in the past year. Our commitment to studies in entrepreneurship – like the National Bank Initiative in Entrepreneurship and Family Business (new website coming soon!), as well as the Barry F. Lorenzetti Center on Women in Entrepreneurship and Leadership – has not gone unnoticed. |

CPA PROGRAM THRIVES AGAIN!The John Molson CPA Program continues to have a strong Common Final Examination pass rate and we are proud of our 2022 CPA capstones cohort. Many thanks to the instructors involved in this program, as well as to the staff and its program director, Eva Lagou, and Vanessa Campbell, coordinator of the CPA capstones. 90 students successfully passed the 2022 CFE exam. One of our students, Jaeanne Bayucot, made it to the Honor Roll. This is a major accomplishment! NEW MSC PROGRAM DIRECTORI am very pleased to welcome Mrugank Thakor, who will join us as Graduate Program Director for the MSc in Marketing, starting on January 1, 2023 until June 31, 2025. He will be replacing Onur Bodur, who will be on sabbatical as of January. Thank you, Onur, for your contributions to the MSc, especially for leading the recent changes of the curriculum. |

EVENT PLANNINGIf you are planning some next-gen 2023 events, please make sure that you submit an event form so that the UCS web team publishes your event in the Concordia events calendar. This gives your event university-wide exposure and allows you to link to it when you share communications about it. The turn-around for an event listing to be published is about five business days. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Elena Parial if you have any questions about this. |
CLOSING REMARKSThank you all for your contributions and commitment to the growth of our Faculty. We have accomplished a lot this year, despite the challenges that the pandemic has thrown at us. I know that the upcoming weeks are going to be busy with marking exams and preparing for the start of the next semester. I hope that despite this, you will be able to take some well-deserved rest and enjoy some quality time to recharge. I wish you the happiest of holidays. I look forward to welcoming you all in 2023! Stay well and healthy. Anne-Marie Croteau, PhD, CDir |
