SEPT. 30: Acknowledging the past and celebrating the future – Concordia’s renewed commitment to reconciliation

Dear Chief Diabo,

On behalf of Concordia University, I would be honoured if you would join us on Canada's National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, to mark the release of the Exploring Concordia’s colonial past report, a key part of our university's commitment to reconciliation.

The event will also celebrate the unveiling of two Indigenous artworks  — including a mural by Kaia’tanó:ron Dumoulin Bush, a student from Kahnawà:ke — and the inauguration of the revitalized Hall Terrace.

The special gathering will feature an opening led by an Elder, remarks by university leadership, cultural performances and an opportunity to hear from the artists.

A lunch reception will follow.
