Academic Advising for Current JMSB Students

Current JMSB students may see an Academic Advisor to get help planning academic progression, adding or dropping a minor, and making other changes to your program of study.

It is mandatory to bring a completed copy of your Program Planning Worksheet

  1. Choose the Worksheet that corresponds to the academic year you entered the program.
  2. Select the Worksheet of the specific program you are currently enrolled in (e.g., Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing, 90 credits). Please verify the credit load of your current program.
  3. Print the Worksheet - check off the courses that you have completed, as well as courses that are currently in progress 
  4. Write your name and student ID number at the top of the worksheet.

 



Walk-In Advising (MB 4.201)

 Academic Advisors are available for current JMSB students on a first come first serve basis.

  • Monday  (1:30pm - 4:30 pm)
  • Tuesday (9:30 am - 12:30 pm)
  • Wednesday (1:30pm - 4:30 pm)
  • Thursday (9:30am - 12:30 pm)
  • Friday     (1:30pm - 4:30pm)

Course Registration for Exchange and Visiting International Students

Exchange and Visiting International Students will be registered in person by Julie Triganne. Students can present themselves at the JMSB Undergraduate Programs Office (MB 4.201) during the following times and dates:

  • Thursday, August 22, 2019 to Friday, August 30, 2019
  • 9:30am to 4:30pm

Exchange and Visiting International Students can also attend JMSB Walk-In Advising (see times above) for assistance with registration.


Lapsed Students

Students who have been away from their studies for six or more consecutive terms require advising. Students must make an appointment to meet with an academic advisor in the Undergraduate Programs Office (MB 4.201).


Students in Conditional or Failed Standing

Students whose assessment and academic standing has placed them on conditional standing must meet with an academic advisor.

Students assessed as being on failed standing must apply for readmission prior to seeking advising and permission to register.
